On October 20, 2026, the Academic School of Law organized a guest lecture for students enrolled in the Law educational program, featuring Saule Taigarayevna Spandiyarova, a judge of the Specialized Interdistrict Court for Administrative Offenses of Almaty.

The lecture was entitled “Current Issues in the Application of Administrative Offenses Legislation: Experience and Judicial Practice.”

The event was organized by Nurlan Salamatovich Ibrayev, Candidate of Legal Sciences and Associate Professor at the School, and Zhanar Soltangazievna Shalabayeva, Master of Laws and Senior Lecturer at the School.

The purpose of the event was to deepen students’ knowledge of administrative procedural law, develop their practical skills in applying the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and increase future lawyers’ interest in judicial activities and the legal profession of a judge.

During the lecture, Saule Taigarayevna discussed the specific features of the work of courts hearing administrative offense cases, their main areas of activity, and the procedural rules governing the consideration of such cases. Particular attention was paid to the practical application of administrative offenses legislation, the role of the judiciary in ensuring legality and public order, and the protection of citizens’ rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests.

The event helped strengthen the connection between students’ theoretical training and practical legal work. Direct interaction with a representative of the judicial system enabled students to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the specific aspects of administering justice in administrative offense cases, the importance of judicial protection of citizens’ rights, and the professional responsibility of lawyers to society and the state.

Guest lectures featuring representatives of the judiciary are an important component of practice-oriented training for future lawyers. Such meetings help deepen students’ professional knowledge, develop their practical competencies, and prepare them for their future professional careers in the field of law.
