On October 14, 2026, the Academic School of Law organized a guest lecture for students enrolled in the Law educational program, featuring practicing attorney Zhanar Kenzhalievna Shurenova, a member of the Almaty Region Bar Association.
The event was organized by Nurlan Salamatovich Ibrayev, Candidate of Legal Sciences and Associate Professor at the School, and Zhanar Soltangazievna Shalabayeva, Master of Laws and Senior Lecturer at the School.
The meeting was held as part of the students’ career guidance and practical training. During the lecture, Zhanar Kenzhalievna Shurenova spoke about the specific features of legal practice, the main areas of an attorney’s work, their rights and responsibilities, and the role of the legal profession in protecting the rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests of citizens.
Students had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss practical cases drawn from legal practice, and receive recommendations on developing the professional competencies necessary for a successful career in the legal field.
