Academic School of Business and Management Supports the National Reading Nation Marathon

On 17 September 2026, the Academic School of Business and Management held an event to promote Reading Nation, a national book-reading marathon. Students and faculty members of the Academic School took part in the event.

Participants received detailed information about the marathon’s objectives, participation requirements and recommended reading list. The speakers focused on the role of reading in personal development, vocabulary growth and critical thinking. They also highlighted the importance of maintaining a reading culture in the digital age.

As a practical outcome of the event, students registered on the marathon’s official website and began reading their selected works. Participants shared their impressions of the books they had read and supported a book-exchange initiative by giving books to one another.

The Reading Nation national marathon will run for six months, from September 2026 to March 2027. The competition is held nationwide in seven categories and brings together school pupils, college students, university students, educators, family teams, civil servants and members of the intellectual community.

Participation in the marathon supports the development of a reading culture, strengthens the intellectual potential of young people and encourages a lasting interest in books as a source of knowledge and personal growth.
